Tara Theatre a hidden Gem in Earlsfield South West London (Earlsfield) " We make politically charged, innovative theatre, exploring the world through a South Asian lens." Tara Theatre is a small theatre in Earlsfield, South West London. The theatre company was established in honour of Gurdip Singh Chaggar. The company aimed to showcase a blend of Eastern and Western cultures through their unique theatrical approach. The group initially performed Sacrifice, a drama by Nobel Prize-winning poet Rabindranath, at the Battersea Arts Centre in 1977. Tara obtained their current theatre location in September 1983 and has used it as their in-house production base ever then.  In 2016, Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, unveiled the Tara Theatre, the UK's first multicultural theatre, following renovations.
